Safer than a quad bike, but still carrying its own risks, the side by side is becoming the “go to” vehicle for many jobs on the farm. This one-day course at Tocal will help you get the most from your side by side.
This one day course covers all aspects of the safe operation of a side by side vehicle.
Course content:
- Pre-operational checks of the side by side vehicle
- Loading and attaching items to the side by side vehicle
- Safe ascending and descending techniques
- Capabilities and limitations of the vehicle
- Loading and unloading procedures
- Basic maintenance checks
- Features and functions of the vehicle

- Complete work
Classroom and practical activities.
Minimum 16 years of age, physically fit, ability to speak, read & write English.
100 points of ID (see downloads below)
- Learning materials are provided.
- Please bring enclosed footwear, high vis shirt (vest available), 100 points of ID, hard hat (if owned), weather suitable clothing and Lunch.
- Tea & Coffee Provided.
From 1st January 2015 each student that will be commencing nationally recognised training in Australia is required to have a Unique Student Identifier (USI) to be able to obtain their certificate or qualification from their registered training organisation.
