RIIMPO321F Conduct civil construction wheeled front end loader operations
This course is perfect for learners who:
- Are seeking to gain the knowledge and skills required to conduct excavator operations
- Are seeking work in site-based roles in civil infrastructure
- Require refresher training
- VOC’s also offered for students who currently hold there Skid Steer ticket
HOW IS THE COURSE DELIVERED?
Front-end Loader training is delivered via Face-to-Face.
Course Duration: This course is designed to be completed up to 3 days (3 days training and assessment)
Expected Study Hours: Typical learners are expected to spend up to 3 days operating depending on existing knowledge, skills, and experience.

- Plan and prepare for wheeled front end loader operations
- Operate front end loader in line with established requirements
- Prepare to relocate the front end loader
All learners will be assessed through observation during on-the-job or role play simulation, and questioning that may include self-assessment, verbal answers, written questionnaires, activity modules or interview.
- Be minimum 16 years of age
- Have at least Year 10 English proficiency level or equivalent*
- Have basic numeracy skills*
- Have good general health and fitness for the practical task (ability to climb in/out of machine, operate controls etc.)
- Additional course readings and resources recommended by trainers.
- At least one (1) wheeled front end loader and lifting gear
- Tools and equipment for repair and maintenance of wheeled front end loader and attachments
- Cleaning equipment or product
- Refuelling product and equipment
- Tie down or securing equipment
- Transport vehicle with float or trailer large enough for the wheeled front end loader
- Relevant housekeeping records
- Site personnel, e.g., licensed dogger or rigger

Due to the high-risk nature of the unit, RPL pathway is identical to the Assessment Only Pathway, where students are required to complete the assessment activities as a challenge test of their existing knowledge and skills competency.
